… at an informal gathering to celebrate the life and poetry of Dora Sigerson Shorter, whom Douglas Hyde called one Ireland’s finest story teller’s in verse. A passionate patriot, Dora died on 6 January 1918 and in this session James Harpur will introduce her, her milieu, which included writers Alice Furlong and Rose Kavanagh, and look at some of her poems.  Free event but booking essential.  Phone 071 9633759
