I Loch Garman a rugadh Seosamh Ó Murchú agus is i mBaile Átha Cliath atá cónaí air le fada. Iareagarthóir ar Comhar is ea é agus bhí sé ina chomhbhunaitheoir agus ina chomheagarthóir ar an irisleabhar liteartha, Oghma. Bhí dánta leis ar an ngearrliosta ag Féile Bhéal na mBuillí cheana. Bronnadh Gradam Filíochta Mhichíl Uí Airtnéide ar a chéad chnuasach, Taisí Tosta. In 2019 a foilsíodh Athchuairt an dara leabhar filíochta leis.

Seosamh Ó Murchú was born in Wexford and has lived in Dublin for many years. A former editor of Comhar, he was a founder member and co-editor of the literary journal, Oghma. He has been previously shortlisted at Strokestown. His first collection, Taisí Tosta, won the Michael Hartnett Poetry Award in 2017. His second book of poems, Athchuairt, was published in 2019.
