
Shortlist announced
Jane Clarke has announced the shortlist for the Roscommon Poets' Prize 2020. Due to the cancellation of the festival, the prizes will be announced on Sunday 3rd May at 12pm.
Now Closed. The shortlist will be announced early April 2020.
Judge: Jane Clarke
Jane Clarke grew up on a farm in Co. Roscommon and now lives in Glenmalure, Co. Wicklow. Her first collection, The River, (Bloodaxe Books 2015) was shortlisted for the 2016 Royal Society of Literature’s Ondaatje Prize and in that year she also won the Hennessy Literary Award for Emerging Poetry and the inaugural Listowel Writers’ Week Poem of the Year Award. Her illustrated chapbook, All the Way Home, (Smith|Doorstop 2019) responds to a World War I archive of letters and photographs. Her second book-length collection, When the Tree Falls was published by Bloodaxe Books in September 2019.
