Poetry Treasure Hunt and Festival Launch
Strokestown’s 20th International Poetry Festival launches with a poetry-themed mountain treasure hunt on Sliabh Bán on Easter Monday. Suitable for families, the two and half kilometre walk includes poetry clues from ‘poets’ such as Bob Dylan, Sam Smith, David Bowie and Joan Baez, alongside Billy Collins and Paddy Bushe and others. There will be Easter eggs to be found along the way, starting at 12 noon in the Sliabh Bán new car park. No booking is required. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
