Now in its second year, this annual literary event is being held from September 20^th to 22^nd in County Longford. It is a celebration of the life and work of one of Ireland’s most respected writers, poets and lecturers.

The weekend will also include a talk on Padraic Colum’s wife, Mary Colum nee Gunning Maguire. Like Padraic, she was also a writer and lecturer at Columbia University, New York. There is also a guided bus tour of north County Longford, homeland of Colum.
