One week to go!
A quick update on the highlights of Strokestown Poetry Festival 2017: –
James Harpur – poet and winner of The Vincent Buckley Poetry Prize 2016, will give a talk and workshop over the week end. Sarah Clancy – page and performance poet from Galway will perform on Thursday 27th.
A conversation between Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin and broadcaster Vincent Woods with music by Patsy Hanly and John Carty will be on Saturday 29th. A talk by James Harpur ‘Flights of Imagination’ on Saturday 29th; a workshop by Paddy Bushe the 2017 Poetry Now winner – Friday 28th, plus a conversation between Paddy Bushe and Doireann Ní Ghríofa (this year’s Rooney Prize winner) on the challenges of writing in both Irish and English – Sun 30th.
For the first time ever, we will have a Live recording of Sunday Miscellany on Monday 1st May.
We will also have readings by:
