Award-winning poet Jane Clarke joined Strokestown committee member Louise G Cole at Boyle Arts Festival this week. The occasion was a launch of Louise’s poetry book ‘Beyond the Green Bridge’, which she first revealed at our Festival back in May. This week’s launch was in King House in Boyle, County Roscommon.

Louise’s poems were introduced by Jane, who shared some generous comments about the work with the audience.  Jane has a new pamphlet out next year, which will be followed by her much awaited second collection from Bloodaxe in autumn 2019.

Meanwhile, Louise has been chosen as one of Carol Ann Duffy’s ‘Laureate’s Choice’ poets and has a pamphlet, ‘Soft Touch’, coming out in February 2019.
