Family Fun day
Orienteering Meets Poetry in Strokestown
The sun shone, the wind blew – but the rain stayed away for everyone to enjoy the ‘Orienteering Meets Poetry’ event at Strokestown Park House, marking the start of National Heritage Week. Organised by Strokestown International Poetry Festival, there were local participants and visitors from neighbouring counties, as well as families from the UK enjoying the challenge. They followed clues which included song lyrics by Adele, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, and poems by writers including WB Yeats, Seamus Heaney and Moya Cannon.
