We are very grateful to Anvil Press Poetry for allowing us to include a poem on our site by the late Dennis O’Drsicoll.
The elaborate and often polemically inclined wryness of Dennis O’Dricoll’s work was one face of the great sensitivity that he projected through his writing. The poem we have chosen, ‘Fair Game’, prompts a kind of laughter in the special way that it weeps for the nature of the bureaucratic mind. You can read it by clicking here.
‘Fair Game’ is taken from Dennis’s final collection Dear Life, which was published in 2012.
